Your Collection Deserves an Audience

Graded comics prepared for live auction consignment Singapore

There's a particular frustration every serious collector in Singapore knows.

You own something genuinely good. A first appearance. A graded key. A virgin cover you waited months for. A complete run you spent years assembling. And when it's finally time to move it on, the local options are thin.

Sell it outright and you take a dealer's price — fair, but a dealer has to leave room to make a living. List it yourself and you're negotiating with strangers over chat for weeks, one book at a time, hoping the right buyer happens to scroll past.

Neither of those puts your book in front of a room full of people who want it.

That's what we're building.

Live auctions, from the warehouse floor

Comics Cove now runs live comic auctions — your books, presented on camera, to an audience of collectors bidding against each other in real time.

Not a listing sitting in a marketplace waiting to be found. A book held up, described properly, with people actively competing for it.

This is how the best comics have been sold overseas for years. It hasn't existed here. It does now.

Consign with us

You don't have to sell us your collection. You can consign it.

You keep ownership until the book sells. We handle everything else:

- Assessment and grading — thirty years of doing this, every day, at scale.

- Photography and presentation — books shown properly, described accurately.

- The audience — collectors who already buy from us, plus everyone the stream reaches

- The auction itself — run live, with the market setting the price.

- Fulfilment — packing, shipping, payment collection, all of it.

You do nothing but hand over the books and get paid.

Why the market decides better than a dealer can

When a dealer buys your collection, one person decides what it's worth. That person is also the person paying. They're honest, but they're still one opinion working to one budget.

In a live auction, the price is set by whoever wants it most on the night — and you only need two people who really want it.

Books that would sit unsold in a shop for months can move in ninety seconds when the right collector is watching. That isn't theory. It's why the format has taken over the collectibles market everywhere it has launched.

What we're looking for

The auction format works hardest on books with genuine demand behind them:

- Key issues — first appearances, first costumes, deaths, significant moments

- Graded slabs — CGC, CBCS, any grade

- Virgin covers, ratio variants and store exclusives

- Complete runs and significant title collections

- Golden, Silver and Bronze Age material

- Unusual and hard-to-find books — the ones nobody local has seen in years

If you're unsure whether what you have qualifies, that's exactly the conversation to have with us. Most people underestimate one or two books in their collection and overestimate one or two others. We'll tell you which is which.

We'll also tell you when consignment isn't right

Not every collection belongs in an auction, and we won't pretend otherwise.

If your books are mostly common issues, if you're moving overseas in three weeks, or if you simply want the whole thing gone in one transaction, outright sale is the better deal for you — and we'll say so. We still buy collections outright, we still offer free doorstep pickup, and for many sellers that remains the right answer.

The difference now is that you have a choice, and we can do both. Keys on consignment, the rest bought outright, one arrangement, one point of contact. No splitting your collection across two parties.

Terms

Terms are agreed per collection, in writing, before we take custody of anything.

We don't publish a flat rate, because a flat rate would be dishonest. A single graded key and a long box of mixed modern books involve completely different amounts of work and completely different risk. Quoting one number for both would mean overcharging half our consignors.

Tell us what you have. We'll give you the terms for your collection, plainly, with no obligation to proceed.

Why Comics Cove

Singapore's largest comic warehouse — over 100,000 books at IMM, Jurong East. Not a spare-room operation.

Thirty years in the trade. We grade for a living. Consignors get the same assessment our own buying runs on.

A physical address you can visit. Your books sit in a real warehouse, in a real building, run by people you can meet.

Local, in SGD. No international shipping, no customs risk, no currency conversion, no waiting on a payout from another timezone.

We already have the buyers. Collectors come to us every week. The auction doesn't start from zero.

Start with a photo

Send us pictures on WhatsApp — wide shots of the boxes, close-ups of anything you think is special. That's enough for us to tell you what's worth putting in front of an audience and what isn't.

Free doorstep pickup for large collections, anywhere in Singapore.

No obligation, no pressure, and an honest answer either way.
