Action Comics #848 2007

Action Comics #848 kicks off the two-part "Redemption" storyline. Superman encounters a new, powerful superhuman known only as Redemption, whose abilities stem from the belief people place in him. While defending missionaries in the fictional country of Nyasir, Redemption accidentally kills government troops, leading Superman to investigate. The Man of Steel tracks Redemption to Colorado, where he learns more about the hero's uncontrolled powers and the moral implications of his actions. This issue is notable for the first appearance of the character Redemption.
