Avengers #11 1998

Published in December 1964, Avengers #11 features Kang the Conqueror creating a robotic Spider-Man to ambush the Avengers during Iron Man's absence. The robot successfully traps and defeats the heroes individually before the real Spider-Man intervenes, destroying his mechanical doppelganger and saving the team. This issue is notable for the first meeting between Spider-Man and the Avengers, the second appearance of Kang the Conqueror, and the first appearance of the Spider-Man Android. It also includes a flashback appearance of Wonder Man.
