Batman #408 1987

Batman #408, published in June 1987, presents a pivotal moment in the Dark Knight's history. Following a severe injury to Dick Grayson by the Joker, Batman decides to operate solo. This leads to his first post-Crisis encounter with a streetwise Jason Todd, caught stealing the Batmobile's tires. This issue is highly notable for collectors as it features the first post-Crisis appearance and new origin of Jason Todd, who would later become the second Robin. It also marks the first appearance of Ma Gunn. This comic initiates the significant transition of the Robin mantle.
