Daredevil #74 2005

Daredevil #74, published by Marvel in March 1971, features the story "In the Country of the Blind!". When Foggy Nelson and many New Yorkers suddenly lose their sight, Daredevil investigates. He uncovers a plot by the villainous Smasher and his criminal organization, The Committee, who have poisoned the city's water supply to enable widespread looting. Daredevil, with assistance from a group of genuinely blind citizens, confronts and defeats the culprits, restoring vision to the affected. This issue is notable for the first appearances of both the Smasher and The Committee.
