Detective Comics #695, published in March 1996, is the second chapter of the "Contagion" crossover event. The story sees Batman escaping a military enclave as a deadly virus spreads through Gotham City and within the sealed Babylon Towers, unknowingly carried by Daniel Maris, who dies in this issue. The residents of Babylon Towers learn of a virus survivor, Kendall Stuart, whom Robin pursues. This issue also features the first appearances of Arissa Palmoy, Jenny Palmoy, Dresden, and Trish.
