Iron Man #3 1998

Iron Man #3, published by Marvel in July 1968, features the story "My Friend, My Foe: the Freak!" Tony Stark, after overstraining his armor, designs a new suit with a thermocouple to stabilize his heart. During its construction, Happy Hogan is exposed to a cobalt bombarder, transforming him into the monstrous Freak. Iron Man must then confront his friend to save him. This issue is notable for Happy Hogan's transformation into the Freak and the introduction of Iron Man's new armor capabilities.
