Iron Man #39 2001

Iron Man #39, published by Marvel in July 1971, features the first appearance of the villainous White Dragon. In this issue, Tony Stark is abducted by the White Dragon's agents and subjected to a 'Transcriber' device, which attempts to control his actions. While the Iron Man armor helps Tony resist the mind control, he still provides plans for new weapons. The White Dragon eventually deduces Iron Man's secret identity, leading to a dramatic confrontation. This issue is notable for introducing a new antagonist to Iron Man's rogues' gallery.
