Legendary Star Lord #1 Skottie Young

Legendary Star-Lord #1, published in 2014, launches Peter Quill's solo series. Star-Lord is caught by the Badoon while attempting to steal the Mandalay Gem from an orphanage. He battles the Badoon, flirts with Kitty Pryde via hologram, and ultimately escapes after a good deed. This issue also features a flashback to his mother's grave and introduces Captain Victoria, his half-sister. It is notable as the debut of his ongoing title and for the first appearances of several new characters.
