Spawn #77

Spawn #77 features Al Simmons confronting Cogliostro, who reveals his own Hellspawn past and offers Spawn a path to break his curse by becoming Hell's new king, at the cost of his humanity. As Spawn grapples with newfound empathic abilities, detectives Sam and Twitch search for him. This issue is notable for the death of supporting character Whistler and features the shocking cliffhanger of Twitch being shot in the head, a pivotal moment for the character. It also marks the first appearance of Sarah Frost.
