Superman #216 2005

In Superman #216 from May 1969, Clark Kent travels to Vietnam as a medic to investigate a giant dubbed "King Cong" fighting for the Vietcong. Superman intervenes in the conflict, saving a plane and disabling enemy tanks. He discovers the giant is Johnny, the son of General Morely, controlled by Dr. Han with jungle herbs. Superman ultimately defeats the giant and captures Dr. Han. This issue is notable to collectors as the last 12-cent cover-priced issue of the series.
