Superman Kal

This 1995 DC Comics Elseworlds one-shot reimagines Superman's origin in medieval England. Kal-El's rocket lands centuries earlier, leading him to be raised by farmers and become a blacksmith. He enters a joust to win the hand of Lady Loisse, clashing with the tyrannical Baron Luthor. Written by Dave Gibbons with art by José Luis García-López, this notable issue offers a unique, self-contained story exploring how the Man of Steel's powers and ideals would manifest in a more brutal, less just era.
