Superman The Man Of Steel #12 1992

Superman The Man Of Steel #12, published in June 1992, presents "Panic In the Streets." Superman battles three Warworld warriors attempting to construct a bomb using stolen scientific equipment within Metropolis's sewers. During the conflict, he encounters escapees from the Cadmus Project and the unique, whale-like creature known as Cruiser. Cruiser ultimately swallows the bomb, leading Superman to fly him into space for a safe detonation. This issue is notable for the first appearance of the Underworlders, expanding Metropolis's hidden society.
