If you are paying a premium, yes. Unwitnessed ink and generic COAs are where celebrity autographs get expensive and hard to resell.

Sell CGC & Graded Comics Singapore

If you want to sell CGC comics in Singapore, you do not need to list every slab on Carousell, argue over label scratches https://www.comicscove.com/post/sell-comic-collection-singapore-pickup, or ship a case overseas and wait.

Comics Cove buys graded comics locally — CGC, CBCS and other third-party slabs — with an individual assessment of each book. For larger lots, we offer free doorstep pickup anywhere in Singapore.

That is the short version of we buy CGC comics: send photos of the labels, get a quote, choose cash or store credit, and close the deal at IMM Jurong East or at your door.

Why sell graded comics in Singapore to a warehouse

A slab is not a box of reading copies. The grade, the label type, the census, the issue and the condition of the case all move the price. Online buyers often ignore one of those and lowball the rest.

A local warehouse buyer can look at the physical book. That matters when you sell graded comics Singapore collectors actually paid to encapsulate — keys, first appearances, Signature Series yellow labels, or a mixed lot inherited with the raw collection.

Comics Cove already runs a 100,000-title back-issue warehouse at IMM Jurong East. We buy raw and graded. We do not need you to split the keys from the longboxes.

What we buy

•       CGC Universal (blue label) — all eras, all grades

•       CGC Signature Series (yellow label) — creator and celebrity witnessed signatures

•       CGC Qualified (green) and restored / conserved labels — priced honestly, not pretended to be blue-label money

•       CBCS graded comics

•       Single high-value keys and full CGC collections

•       Mixed lots: slabs plus raw books from the same collection

No collection is automatically “too small” if the books are real. No collection is too large if you want it moved in one transaction.

Individual assessment of every slab

This is the point most “we buy comics” pages skip.

We do not quote a flat price per slab. A CGC 9.8 of a common modern is not a CGC 9.8 of a first appearance. A clean inner well is not a cracked case. A yellow-label creator signature on the right issue is not a random actor auto on a high-print variant.

Each slab is checked for:

•       Title, issue and whether it is a key

•       Grade on the label and whether that grade still matches visible defects

•       Label type — Universal, Signature Series, Qualified, restored

•       Case and inner-well condition

•       Current demand in the Singapore and SEA market

You get a line-by-line sense of the lot, not a single number designed to hide the one book that matters.

How to sell CGC comics Singapore — the process

1.     WhatsApp clear photos of the front, back and label of each slab — or a video pan of the whole box if the lot is large.

2.     Include a rough count and any keys you already know about.

3.     Receive a preliminary quote, usually within the same day for a standard lot.

4.     Accept cash, or take store credit at a bonus rate against the 100,000-title warehouse.

5.     Meet at IMM Jurong East by appointment (weekdays 1pm–7pm), or schedule free pickup for larger lots.

No obligation until you accept. You can sell the slabs and keep the raw books, or move everything in one go.

Free pickup for larger lots

The bottleneck on graded collections is rarely the quote. It is carrying cases across Singapore.

For large lots — typically 1,000 books or more when raw and slabs are combined, or a substantial slab-only collection — Comics Cove offers free island-wide doorstep pickup. We come to your home, condo or office, assess on the spot, and settle there.

You do not pack a courier crate. You do not gamble a 9.8 on a motorbike bag.

Cash or store credit

Cash is immediate and clean if you are done with comics.

Store credit is issued above the cash figure and spends across Marvel, DC, Indie, keys, variants and back issues in the warehouse. That is the better path if you still collect — you sell slabs you have already read or duplicated, and walk the same building for the issues you are missing.

CGC vs selling raw — we take both

You do not have to strip a book out of a slab to sell it here. You also do not have to slab a raw key before we will look at it.

If a collection is mixed, we price the encapsulated books as slabs and the rest as raw. That keeps the transaction honest and stops a single 9.8 from being used to mask a box of low-grade fillers.

What not to expect

A CGC label is not a blank cheque. Common 9.8 moderns, high-census movie variants and weak celebrity pairings do not clear key-issue money. We will say so.

Green-label unwitnessed signatures are not priced as yellow-label Signature Series. Cracked cases and obvious defects are deducted. That is how you get a quote you can actually bank.
